How to combine them?
It depends on the size of your collection, the adaptability of each layer with other ones, the time you want to spend for and your ability in programming.
You can start with assembling them on Procreate. This is the first and irreplaceable step even if you choose to assembly by code. Proportion and location of each layer are to be correct.
Then if you’re oriented in a collection of more than 100 pieces listed once, you need a customizable code. You can find a valid one on GitHub, created from Hashlips (https://github.com/HashLips/hashlips_art_engine). Nevertheless, you have to study to modify some code lines for your needs.
How many layers to make?
If you want to try the generative digital art, you have to think about the number of layers your drawing can support. It depend on interoperability, aesthetic and matches between layers. I recommend you to start from 7 to 11 categories max with 7 to 10 layers per category for a 1k collection. If you want , perhaps you’ll need to create some exclusion rules before combining.
On which blockchain could we mint them?
After you completed you digital collection or art, if you intend to create an NFT , you have to mint them. Minting an NFT is how your digital art becomes a part of the blockchain.
Which one? Ethereum, Solana or Polygon? It’s such a difficult question to answer. Ethereum, the most diffuse, Polygon the cheapest.
Fee gas are a tricky domain, irritating when transaction fail cause a gas limit was set and fees linking to computational process are irreversible spent.
